Pricing and Payment
Surprise medical bills? Not here!
Like almost everyone, Dr. Housman has experienced the frustrating feeling of an unexpected medical cost. That's why, at Osteopathic Medicine of Pueblo, we strive to provide pricing transparency with no surprises.
Dr. Housman is an out-of-network provider. This means there is no billing of insurance and payment is due in-full at the time of service. The practice will provide you with a superbill (medical receipt) that can then be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement. If you would like to inquire with your insurance company about their rate of reimbursement before your treatment, the medical billing codes typically used are 99205 for a new patient office visit and 99214 or 99215 for follow-up office visits.
Charges are reduced from insurance pricing and are as follows:
Adult Initial Appointment: $350
Adult Established Appointment: $195
Pediatric (<18 years old) Initial Appointment: $250
Pediatric (<18 years old) Established Appointment: $165
Osteopathic Manual Treatment and acupuncture are included in the above prices. In some cases, Dr. Housman may recommend additional treatment modalities. These therapies are available at an additional charge and are only administered with patient request. They include:
Trigger point injections
Neural therapy injections
Steroid injections
We are happy to accept patients with Medicare insurance, but the cost of a visit is legally required to be paid fully out-of-pocket and cannot be billed to Medicare. Therefore, at the initial visit, patients with Medicare will be required to sign a release acknowledging this policy. You can learn more about this policy by reading the Opt-out providers section at the webpage linked here. Unfortunately, we are legally prohibited from seeing patients with Medicaid. Please use this link to learn more about the Medicaid policy as defined by the state of Colorado.
We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards as valid forms of payment. Patients can also utilize their Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) if they have them. When you schedule online, you will be asked to enter your credit card information to hold your appointment, but you will not be charged until after your visit. You are free to pay with whichever method you choose at that time. Please make checks payable to Osteopathic Medicine of Pueblo. A $25 service charge will be assessed to your account for all returned checks.
Home visits are available under certain circumstances. Please contact us to discuss further.
